Global Agenda - Play it NOW!

Postby Thorlak on Sat Feb 13, 2010 1:22 pm

Imagine Star Wars- Jedi Acadamy, Team Fortress, WOW, Borderlands and Aion all walked into a blender, then the tasty fingerlicken goodness left over after a messy 30 seconds would be....

Global Agenda-LIVE!

Image

- 4 Classes (tank/healer/rogue/engineer), each with three skill trees.
-30 Levels of progression +20 more for status.
- 1 Huge server, play with or against anyone!
- Crafting
- PVE
- A huge time-locked map you can build stuff on, take over areas and so on
- Mechs and other cool stuff

Its pretty much the really fun parts of action games like jedi acadamy, with basic MMO elements like a big city, fairly simple loot and crafting and the big PVP that WAR/Aion promised and then never really managed to deliver.

Very fun, I've managed 20 hours played in the last 2 days, just pugging PVP fights for fun. Lucy wasn't happy. Only reason i'm not playing now is that I'm at my parents.

Yo! I've actually been tempted to try this. What's your nick and I'll look you up if I decide to get it!

Only one thing that turns me off, I'm not that into the whole mechano/sci-fi/futuristic theme.

Sweet, I'm Mekoeight and just joined an agency called nosebleed with a pretty good bunch of guys in the EU that are mostly 20-30 years old.

The theme isn't to noticeable to be honest, the game is much less about story and atmosphere and much more about the gameplay so its not as big a deal as it would be in a true MMO where your looking for that sense of immersion.

My only complaint so far is the price, 34.99 through steam, and only steam since its a new studio who've made it looking to cut back on distribution costs is a bit steep when BF bad company can be pre ordered for 24.99 and AVP is preorderable for 17,99.

They've extended the free-play of the mass-pvp to the end of march now though which makes up for it, and the support and development plan looks very good, they have some good solid plans and a realistic but pretty rapid timetable to put them into the game.
